The aim of the Same Dust portfolio reviews is to give participants feedback and advice regarding the form, intention and output of their photography-based projects.
The portfolio reviews are conducted by Same Dust manager, publisher and visual artist Alan Eglinton.
Alan Eglinton holds an MFA in photography from the French National School of Photography in Arles and a Masters degree in Film Studies from the Paul Valéry University in Montpellier, FR.
His first book "Only the fires say" was published by Poursuite Editions (Arles, FR) and his second book "poems" was published by Datz Press (Seoul, KR). His most recent publications "Yes No Maybe (Prelude)" and "Taipei T-shirts" were published by Same Dust.
He has edited and designed the following publications by Same Dust: "BONJOUR ALAN" (Louis Gary), "Yes No Maybe (Prelude)" (Alan Eglinton), "Taipei T-shirts" (Alan Eglinton), "Love Outside“ (Michaël Blin, forthcoming), "Touché" (Arnaud Claass, forthcoming) and "Apply" (Louis Gary, forthcoming).
His work has been exhibited in the Rencontres d'Arles (FR), in the Biennale de la Photo de Mulhouse (FR), at Galerie Madé (Paris, FR), at Patriothall Gallery (Edinburgh, UK), at the Kyungbuk National University Arts Museum in Daegu, at Gallery The C (Seoul, KR) and at Palbok Arts Factory (Jeonju, KR).

The reviewee should bring a maximum of two to three portfolios and/or book dummies.
For portfolios, please bring a reasonable amount of prints (20-30 prints, for example) for the reviewer to look at.
Printed material is preferred to iPads or laptops so the reviewee can receive feedback regarding the physical aspect of his/her portfolio or book dummy.
We recommend that the reviewee brings a notebook and a pen to take notes during the review. The reviewee will be able to go back over his/her notes once the review is over.

Payment should be made before the portfolio review via the Same Dust online store.
Portfolio reviews are in English or French and take place at Same Dust in Seongsu, Seoul and online via Zoom.
